We are super excited to introduce another one of our presenters for the HPN conference- Dr Pooja Maddela. She is a highly accomplished international speaker, exceedingly skilled master yoga teacher/mentor, yoga therapist, yoga teacher trainer and clinician. Her teaching and clinical skills are legendary and we are so lucky to have her on board. Dr Pooja Maddela is well known for her unique ability to apply philosophy into practice. Her expertise in sculpting the mind and the body through the traditional practice of natural therapies has transformed numerous students in their personal, academic and professional development.
So you guys could get to know her a bit better we asked her a few questions:
How did you become involved in the health industry?
My education as Indian systems of medicine registered practitioner exposed me to the world of health promotion and disease prevention. I was associated with training the trainers in the field of holistic medicine for over 15 years
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Empowering people to make a difference in their lives holistically
How would you describe your philosophy about being fit and healthy?
I believe health must be at all levels of being; physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual level.
What’s your typical meal for:
First thing upon waking: A glass of warm water
Morning: A smoothie with leafy greens, nuts and fruits
Lunch: 1 cup of mixed vegetables salad, rice with dal, curry and yogurt
Dinner: 1 cup of salad greens, rice/roti with curry
Snacks or sweets: fruit and nuts
Do you have any daily tips and strategies you recommend your clients implement to keep them living a happy healthy life style?
Believe in your potential, be positive, stay active and eat healthy with gratitude
What is your favourite way to relax and unwind?
Spending time with family and meditation
Do you have any piece of advice for our readers who are struggling with their body image and all round sparkle?
