As it is only 2 short months until HPN 2016 we asked Darren Ellis to share one of his go- to workouts with us!
We are lucky enough to have Darren taking us through a strength and functional movement workshop at HPN 2016 but in the meantime, give this workout a go!
Find a heavy object, such as a sandbag, kettlebell, rock, anvil etc and set yourself a tough distance to carry it, such as 400m, 800m, 1 mile.
You can bear hug it, support it on your shoulder, in the crooks of your elbows, or carry it suitcase style.
But every time you have to put it down, do 10 pushups, or burpees or squats before you pick it back up.
Loaded carries are one of the BEST exercises for building genuine core strength, and a great deal of mental strength too.
There you go.. Simple, yet effective!!
